Quaid's vision key to progress, LHC CJ says on Independence Day

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Aalia Neelum on Thursday emphasised the importance of adhering to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision for institutional development and national progress.
Addressing the flag-hoisting ceremony held at the historic Lahore High Court to mark Independence Day of Pakistan.
She stated that if institutions function in line with the ideals of the country's founding father, Pakistan will continue to advance.
CJ Aalia Neelum expressed pride in celebrating the country's independence.
She noted, “It is a matter of great happiness that we are celebrating our 78th Independence Day today. We must work according to Quaid’s vision. If institutions follow his path, the country will continue to progress.”
The national flag was hoisted by the LHC’s chief justice, accompanied by Justices Abid Aziz Sheikh, Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, and Ali Zia Bajwa, along with other honorable judges.
Highlighting the judiciary's role, she reiterated that all possible measures are being taken across Punjab to ensure timely justice, including the establishment of model courts and special benches to address pending cases.
Chief Justice Neelum acknowledged that resolving delayed cases remained a significant challenge but assured that effective steps are being implemented to overcome it. She concluded her speech with a prayer for the country’s continued prosperity and eternal stability.
The event concluded with a collective prayer for national peace and progress. A large number of officers, staff members of the Lahore High Court, and their families were present to witness the occasion.
