Nawaz Sharif and Hussain Haqqani have appeared before memo commission.

The judicial commission headed by Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faiz is hearing the memo issue in the building of Islamabad High Court.PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and former Pakistan ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani reached the IHC and appeared before the commission, while Chief of Army Staff will not appear before the commission due to his visit to China.Mansoor Ijaz had also written a letter to the commission, stating that he was ready to visit Pakistan and requested for provision of complete security to him.The commission has instructed the Attorney General to issue visa to Ijaz on urgent basis and ensure his security while the commission has also asked to provide additional security to Husain Haqqani.Earlier, the commission had summoned all the stake holders of the memogate issue and directed to record their statements.The memogate commission formed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan is investigating into the issue of memo that was handed over to Mike Mullen through US businessman of Pakistan origin Mansoor Ijaz allegedly on behalf of Pakistan government.
