Water level at Tarbela Dam reaches dead level, power generation declines

SWABI (Dunya News) – The water level at Tarbela Dam has reached the dead level, causing a further decline in power generation at the Tarbela power station.
According to reports, the inflow and outflow of water at the dam currently stand at 17,300 cusecs, while the water level remains at the dead level of 1,402 feet.
Due to the current situation, 12 out of 17 power generation units at Tarbela have been shut down, leaving only five units operational. As a result, the national grid is receiving only 5,500 megawatts of electricity.
