Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold its moon sighting meeting in Peshawar on Feb 28
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government is making efforts to ensure the observance of Ramazan across the country on the same day.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold its moon sighting meeting in Peshawar on Feb 28 to determine the start of Ramazan 1446 AH.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting.
Meanwhile, zonal committees will hold their meetings at respective locations, but the final announcement regarding moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will oversee all necessary arrangements for the meeting.
