CJP asks prosecution to cooperate for quick hearings

CJP said that prosecution department will have to cooperate for quick hearing of terrorism cases.

A meeting led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was held to discuss pending cases in courts in Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry. The Chief Justice said that better results cannot be produced without the cooperation of prosecution.He said that more than 1000 cases are pending in different courts which are regrettable. Inspector General of Police Sindh,in the meeting, presented report regarding cases. Strict security measures were taken for the meeting.
