Prime Minister Gilani has welcomed the statement of COAS Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

Talking to the media persons in Islamabad‚ he welcomed Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayanis pro-democracy remarks saying these have warmly been welcomed by the democratic forces in the country.He said all the political parties want democracy in the country. The statements of the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Army Chief and resolution passed by the Punjab Assembly are reflective that everybody backs the democratic set up.Responding to a question‚ the prime minister said that the rumour mongering will end with the elections of the Senate in March. We are political people and extend all possible relief to the masses.About relations with the United States‚ Prime Minister Gilani said these are being reviewed in the wake of Nato attack on the check posts in Mohmand agency.About the gas load shedding‚ the prime minister said efforts are being made to meet the shortfall.
