ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that the government and PTI had yet to reach an agreement on the name of the chief election commissioner, adding that they would send the names once a parliamentary committee was made.

Speaking to media outside the ECP office, Khan said that tenure of CEC, members of Sindh and Balochistan was completed, claiming that the country was being run according to the 26th Constitutional Amendment.

"The prime minister should have sent three names and consulted the opposition leader but he didn't do anything," he added.

He went on to say that the process of appointment for the CEC should be completed within 45 days, revealing that the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and Opposition Leader in the Senate Shibli Faraz had sent letters for formation of parliamentary committee but said to haven't received any response from the government.
