Afaq Ahmed freed from Karachi Central Jail

Muhajir Qaumi Movement chief Afaq Ahmed has been released from the Central Jail Karachi.

A heavy contingent of police was present outside the jail at the time of his release that came on orders from Malir-2 Additional District and Sessions Judge Munawwar Sultana.Afaq was earlier ordered to be freed but the authorities had kept him in detention under the MPO (Maintenance of Public Order). This led to the withdrawal of his bail bond and continued detention.The bail bond was resubmitted which led to his release today on the court order.
