PTI set to form grand opposition alliance: Asad Qaiser
Pakistan
Says Trump won election through a democratic process unlike Pakistan
SWABI (Dunya News) – A few hours before the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) public rally in one of its strongholds Swabi, former NA speaker Asad Qaiser said the PTI would hold a huge gathering and form a grand alliance with the opposition.
Speaking to media at the venue of rally, the former NA speaker said that Swabi’s rally would be the first public reaction against recent legislation, adding that the government had turned the parliament into a rubber stamp.
“Vandalism and arrests in the PTI’s Quetta rally are really condemnable. Ours is a registered party with a strong opposition in three provincial assemblies. We will never accept this fascist government as 250 million people of Pakistan are the ones who will decide the future of this country,” he emphasised.
Speaking about recent victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election, Qaiser said that Trump won election through a democratic process unlike Pakistan where an unabated series of human rights violation had been going on for a long time.
“We are about to form a grand opposition alliance for which we are in contact with all opposition parties. We will take them along in our movement against the fascist government which has been involved in oppression of the people,” he concluded.
