Sindh CM seeks ADB's assistance for water treatment plant in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah has sought the assistance from the Asian Development Bank for the water treatment plant (TP-4) in Karachi.
According to the Sindh government spokesperson, CM Sindh met ADB country director, Xiaoqin (Emma) Fan, where both sides exchanged views on ADB’s projects in Sindh province.
They discussed projects related to clean water, hygiene and health for flood victims.
Murad Ali Shah stated that the Sindh government with the support of ADB, World Bank and other institutions were building safe and secure homes for flood victims.
WASH project was needed for washrooms and drainage system for the 2.1 million homes of flood victims.
The Sindh CM also requested cooperation for solar projects for the homes of flood victims as they couldn’t afford expensive electricity.
ADB assured to provide assistance to the Sindh government for both projects.
