SC resumes Bhutto reference case hearing

An 11-member larger bench of the SC has resumed the hearing of Z A Bhutto reference case.

An 11-member bench of the SC, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is hearing the reference filed by the government under Article 186 of the constitution.Last hearing of the case was held on June 29 and was not heard again due to the retirement of Justice Javed Iqbal on August 1, Justice MA Shahid Siddique on October 13, and ad hoc judge Ghulam Rabbani on October 20.President Asif Ali Zardari on November 27 had written a letter to the CJP, requesting for early hearing of the reference.
