Security forces kill two terrorists, apprehend five in Balochistan

RAWALPIND (Dunya News) – Security forces killed two terrorists and apprehended five others in two different operations in Balochistan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said five terrorists were apprehended by security forces in an intelligence-based operation in Pishin district.
Security forces also seized a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including three suicide vests.
The apprehended militants were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians.
In another operation in Zhob district, two terrorists were killed during a fire exchange with security forces. In ensuing sanitsation of the area, weapons and ammunition were also recovered in large quantity.
The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country and protect innocent civilians from this menace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the officers and soldiers of security forces for successful operation against terrorists in districts Pishin and Zhob.
In a statement, the prime minster congratulated the security forces for their commendable efforts, which resulted in the arrest of five militants, and killing of two others. The operation also led to the seizure of a large amount of weapons and explosive materials.
“The entire nation including myself, pays tribute to the brave Pak army soldiers and officers for purging the country from Fitna al-Khawarij.”
He said the entire nation stood united with the Pakistan Armed Forces in their mission to thwart the ambitions of Pakistan’s enemies, who aim to spread unrest and instability in the country.
