PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Steps have been taken to initiate the long-delayed Safe City Project in Peshawar and four other districts.

According to documents, preparations are underway to restart the project, with the first phase set to launch in Hayatabad, Peshawar.

The project is expected to cost over 16 billion rupees, with the second phase extending to Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan, and Bannu.

The documents stated that advanced machinery and equipment will be used to combat criminal activities, along with a modern backup system to maintain criminal records.
