ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has met JUI-F chief Maulana Falur Rehman to secure his support for the proposed constitutional amendment.
The delegation included Khawaja Saad Rafique, Nayyar Bukhari, Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman while JUI-F leaders Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Aslam Ghauri also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the current political situation was reviewed and Rehman was invited to attend the upcoming Palestine Conference tomorrow (Oct 7).
Rehman has previously demanded that the 26th proposed constitutional amendment be postponed until after the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Pakistan.
