MURREE (Dunya News) - Former prime minister and Awam Pakistan Party chief Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday said that bringing constitutional amendments in dead of night is unfortunate for the country.
Speaking to the media, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the constitutional amendments are being brought to strengthen the elite. He was of the view that the amendments should be for a common man and not for the ruling elite.
He said that the national development was not possible through constitutional amendments and added that the current political situation will not change unless the politicians and the judiciary get on the same page.
He further said that the country is in a state of political instability and unrest. He regretted that no effort is being made to improve the prevailing situation of the country.
