ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui has stated that the recent court ruling on reserved seats has made the issue more complex rather than resolving it.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Siddiqui emphasised that law makers, not court, make the constitution and law.
How constitutional amendments could be challenged when the constitution itself forbids it, he questioned.
Siddiqui also raised concerns over the court’s handling of the timeframe for joining political parties, stating that such decisions contradict constitutional provisions, further complicating matters for the Parliament.
