Saif blames govt for deceiving people on amendment draft

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Saif on Wednesday blamed the federal government for sacrificing independence of judiciary for temporary gains.
In a statement, Saif said that the government’s reluctance to show the draft of the much-touted “Constitutional Package” to the opposition suggested that everything was fishy, pointing out that the government wasn’t even ready to share the draft with allies as it had prepared different drafts to decoy people.
He urged the legal community to stand with politicians in taking the proposed amendment to task.
Saif lauded sacrifices given by the lawyers for the independence of judiciary while demanding resignation from the government over misusing its authority.
