LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from Sialkot district police officer (DPO) until August 2 for the recovery of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media activist Arslan Akbar.

LHC Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu heard abducted PTI activist’s father Muhammad Akbar's application for the recovery of his son, Arslan Akbar.

Barrister Khadija Siddiqui, representing the applicant, appeared before the court.

Petitioner contended that dozens of police officials raided the house of Arslan on June 29 and police arrested social media activists.

Police also confiscated the laptop and mobile phone of a kidnapped PTI activist.

Petitioner requested the court to order the recovery of abducted Arslan Akbar and his appearance in the court.

Consequently, LHC has adjourned the case hearing by seeking response from Sialkot DPO until August 2.
