Recent statements by PM reflect govt's irresponsible attitude towards eradication of militancy
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pkhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif said on Thursday that the federal government was not serious in rooting out terrorism from the country.
Barrister Saif grilled Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for giving irresponsible and non-serious statements on the delicate issues of war on terror and current security situation, insisting that public trust in the government had been eroded.
He said that the federal government was accusing the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) of promoting terrorism without realising that the PTI stood out as the most popular party in recent polls.
"Reckless statements of the government are causing irreparable loss to Pakistan. The Form-47 government is politicising important matter of terrorism," he deplored.
He criticised the PM for accusing the PTI of welcoming militants in areas cleared by the security forces.
