NA approved Petroleum Levy Amended bill 2011, implementation of gas development and recovery bill.

The session of NA was held chaired by Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi. After walkout from the Assembly session on memo issue, PML-N did not join the session today.Khurshid Shah said that persecution of nurses is condemnable. Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the MD PTV did not follow her orders.At this, PM Yousaf Raza Gilani said that all the ministers are authorised; if they have any problem, they should consult me, he added.He informed the National Assembly that Finance Division had been directed to release one billion rupees fund to National Highway Authority (NHA) to resume work on Lowari Tunnel project.Speaking on the floor of the House, the Prime Minister said Lowari Tunnel was an extremely important project and a trade and strategic route not only for Chitral but beyond.The PM said that he had also chaired a meeting on Lowari Tunnel project in Lahore and directed Secretary Finance, chairman NHA and relevant stakeholders to release shortfall of funds to NHA. He said Lowari tunnel project was among the five mega projects to which the government was giving top priority.He said the present government during the last three years had carried out various development schemes of Rs 1.3 trillion across the country and its details would be provided to the National Assembly.Firdous Ashiq Awan also told the Assembly session by a written statement that government ads worth more than Rs 7.76 billion have been issued to different newspapers and journals during last four years.The session also gave an approval to form a committee to reviewed delay in Hajj flights and other issues faced by national airlines.
