Arrival of monsoon season looms the perils of dengue
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says any negligence in anti-dengue measures will not be tolerated.
As the arrival of monsoon season may pose threat of dengue, Naqvi issued alert to Islamabad administration.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed the CDA chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa to enforce the SOPs strictly to deal with dengue.
He said drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas would be ensured, anti-dengue plan would be implemented strictly, and negligence would not be tolerated.
He instructed to monitor the anti-dengue plan regularly and collect data regarding dengue cases from all hospitals and laboratories of the city.
He further said there should be liaison between laboratories and private health facilities.
