LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has put a ban on the affiliation of colleges with government universities again.
HEC has prohibited government universities from any new affiliation with colleges and institutions in educational programs.
The new affiliation must be halted until revised standard issuance.
All the advertisements published in social and print media for affiliation must be withdrawn.
HEC has warned of suspension of grants on the violation of the instructions.
It is pertinent to note that government universities faced loss of billions annually because of the ban.
Vice-chancellors of government universities approached the Punjab governor on the loss of billions in this matter.
