HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - The former chief minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, has taken a dig at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), describing it as a "dead horse" which is being revived artifically through spoon feeding.

Drawing on personal experiences, he recalled the challenging circumstances of his childhood, paying extortion money during the MQM-P's reign. Shah criticized MQM-P's questionable electoral tactics, accusing the party of resorting to begging and illicit means to secure votes.

In a veiled critique aimed at political rivals, Shah dismissed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), alleging a lack of vision and a preoccupation with the past.

Shah expressed confidence that the Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) would beg 45 to 50 National Assembly seats from Sindh thanks to the public support his party enjoyed in the upcoming general elections, positioning them as the leading political force in Sindh.

Highlighting the appeal for the young party chief, Bilawal Bhutto, Shah underscored the public's eagerness to hear his vision, ideas and future policies, regardless of challenging weather conditions, heavy rains and cold weather.

He commended Bilawal's active participation in political campaigns, even in adverse weather, demonstrating a commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of PPP supporters.

He emphasized the paramount role of the public in determining electoral outcomes, asserting that true power lied with the people and their votes.

Shah urged voters to cast their ballots in favour of the PPP, cautioning against supporting PML-N and MQM-P, which lacked the vision and vitality needed for effective governance.
