ECP takes notice of restriction on women participation in electoral campaigns in Kohistan
KOHISTAN (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of the restriction on women's participation in electoral campaigns in Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Upon ECP’s notice, the Kohistan district monitoring officer has declared the matter to be a result of misunderstanding.
The ECP stated that declaring a constituency null and void might be considered if any woman was prevented from conducting an electoral campaign or casting a vote in the area.
