RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Taking a dig at the PML-N, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated on Sunday that the majority of the Pakistani people did not want to witness someone becoming the prime minister for the fourth time.

While addressing an election gathering at Liaquat Bagh, Bilawal said that the person who thought he would become the prime minister for the fourth time, through politics of hatred and division, do not realise that the source of power is the people. “Old politics of hatred and division has subjected the country to crises,” he added.

Bilawal expressed that the people would thwart a conspiracy by casting their votes for the PPP in the Feb 8 elections.

He highlighted that his party’s 10-point public economic agenda would confront the prevailing issues of poverty and unemployment.

Emphasising that the country was currently in danger, facing both an economic crisis and a democratic crisis, Bilawal asserted that the PPP could lead the country out of these challenges, urging people to vote wisely.

Bilawal held the view that the division between 'good' and 'bad' Taliban in the country must end, stating that those who took up arms against the country would face a strong response. He affirmed that only the PPP could put an end to terrorism.

Bilawal mentioned that the PTI suffered losses due to planted people, adding that its lawyers who went to the Supreme Court without preparation were to be blamed for loss of the party symbol. He also observed that the founder of the PTI was no longer in this election. He said that their contest was against the PML-N.

Bilawal affirmed that the PPP could ensure political stability.
