TANDLIANWALA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserted on Thursday the PPP was contesting elections for the people of Pakistan, while other political groups were engaged in personal battles, whether to avoid jail or emerge from it.

Addressing a party workers convention in Tandlianwala, Bilawal affirmed that once again, the PPP aimed to have jiyalas (PPP loyalists) as prime minister and chief minister.

He said he had come to Tandlianwala to seek the support of the people, acknowledging the historic support the PPP had received from them for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, adding that no force in the world could stop their path.

Bilawal pledged to change the fate of the people of Pakistan, promising to address the prevailing issues of inflation, unemployment, poverty and economic crisis. He expressed confidence that only the PPP could accomplish these goals.

The former foreign minister pointed out that other political parties lacked a manifesto, while the PPP had outlined a 10-point agenda for the welfare of the people in this election. He said he would implement this manifesto if the PPP emerged victorious in the Feb 8 elections with the support of the electorate.

Bilawal reiterated his plans to focus on ensuring free and quality healthcare, constructing houses for low-salaried individuals, providing free electricity up to 300 units, doubling wages, offering free education and establishing universities.

He expressed his desire to provide free medical treatment in every district of Punjab, adding, “People from Punjab often have to go to London when they fall ill, but under his government, they will ensure such health facilities that people will not have to travel to London.”

Bilawal pledged to issue Benazir Worker Cards for labourers, ensuring the education and basic needs of laborers' children, and providing Youth Cards and Student Loans to students.

The PPP chairman emphasised his commitment to burying hatred, division and old politics, bringing in a new way of thinking to address the challenges facing the country. He asserted that victory would belong to the people who support the PPP.
