ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that the resolution passed in the Upper House in the presence of 14 senators to delay the Feb 8 general elections has no legal or constitutional standing whatsoever.

Interacting with a group of reporters here on Saturday, the PTI leader recalled that the Supreme Court had issued instructions for timely conduct of the general elections.

“PTI is hopeful that the elections will be held on time,” he said, reiterating that the resolution adopted by few senators had no legal or constitutional standing whatsoever.

The barrister said the PTI had completed consultations regarding the distribution of party tickets to election candidates. The list of PTI candidates would be released in a day or two, he added.
