PPP not afraid of rallies, says Firdous

Firdous Ashiq Awan has said Pakistan People Party (PPP) is not afraid of anti-government rallies.

Talking to the media on Friday outside the Parliament House, Federal Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that history revealed that PPP was the sole founder of politics of rallies and demonstrations, as it was part of the democratic process. She said PML (N) should not use the national resources to achieve political ends.She said Punjab province represents sixty per cent population of the country but PML-N led government yet failed to restrain corruption as it was undergoing in Police stations, courts and Patwar-khanas for instance. She added that PML (N) should first solve problems of people of Punjab then talk about entire Pakistan.She said PML-N largely consists of those elements who want to put in place the national resources to bring their desired agenda.She said Police officers, Patwaris and Officers of the different departments had received the pressure from PML-N leadership to bring together the workers of their concerned departments in their rally from Nasir Bagh to Bhati gate, Lahore.
