LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Ulema Council chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said on Sunday that practical steps were required from the Muslim Ummah on the issue of Gaza.

He said due to conspiracies, the Ummah was being divided into two parts while the Muslims should stand with their brothers and sisters facing oppression in Gaza.

Addressing the Palestine Solidarity Conference, Ashrafi said that the world has been divided into two parts: One side is the oppressor and the other is the oppressed and the Ummah should decide whether to stand with the occupier or occupied.

“If today we do not speak for the victims of Gaza, then tomorrow this fire will go everywhere and no one will be saved from it,” he reiterated.

More than 4,000 Palestinians have been martyred including more than 1,000 children, due to the attacks of the Zionist forces.
