Navy chief calls on Punjab governor
LAHORE (APP) - Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf called on Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman at the Governor’s House here on Friday.
During the meeting, professional affairs of Pakistan Navy and matters of mutual interest came under discussion.
The governor congratulated Admiral Naveed Ashraf on assuming the command of Pakistan Navy and expressed his best wishes.
He said the Pakistan Navy occupied a prominent position in the world due to its professionalism, adding that it was playing a significant role in the protection of maritime boundaries as well as in preventing smuggling.
The governor said the role of the Pakistan Navy in defending the water borders of the country was unforgettable.
The navy chief thanked the governor for his hospitality.
He said that Pakistan’s defense was in strong hands and the Pakistan Navy was like a strong rock protecting the country.
He said that by working on the blue economy in Pakistan, foreign exchange could be earned, which would improve the economy of the country.
