RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Pakistan conducted a successful flight test of Ababeel Weapon System on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, the missile system is aimed at strengthening deterrence and enhancing the strategic stability in the region.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, senior officers from Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command, scientists and engineers witnessed the launching ceremony.
The test flight was meant to review the performance of various designs, technical parameters and different sub-systems of the weapon system.
CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza appreciated the technical skills, dedication and commitment of all those who contributed towards the successful test.
Meanwhile, president, prime minister and all the services chiefs congratulated the members of the strategic forces on landmark achievement.
