PM Kakar leaves for Beijing to attend Belt and Road Forum

Premier will have meetings with President Xi Jinping, other Chinese leadership
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar today (Monday) left Islamabad for Beijing on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During his visit to China, the prime minister will participate in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) to be held on October 17 and 18.
Representing Pakistan in the Belt and Road Forum, the prime minister will reiterate the development and achievements made under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the last 10 years as well as future goals and Pakistan's full cooperation on this key project.

Apart from participating in the inaugural ceremony of BRF, the prime minister will address a high-level forum on the topic of Connectivity in an Open Global Economy on October 18.
PM Kakar will have a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in China and will also meet with the top Chinese leadership and heads of other countries participating in the forum.
The prime minister will also meet businessmen and investors in China to promote foreign investment in Pakistan.
In order to promote relations between the people of Xinjiang and Pakistan and to promote business and investment, the prime minister will visit Urumqi, where he will meet local dignitaries and businessmen.
