PTI chief files appeal through his lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman has filed an intra-court appeal in the Islamabad High Court for his meeting with family members, lawyers and physician in jail.
The application was filed by PTI chief through his lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat in the IHC. The single bench decision of Islamabad High Court on Sept 25 has been challenged in the petition.
The petitioner stated that the IHC on September 25 had ordered his shifting to Adiala Jail from Attock. The court also ordered provision of better class to the petitioner.
However, the petitioner argued, it did not issue any order regarding his meeting with family members, physician and lawyers.
The PTI chief said Monday had been fixed for his meeting with his wife and sisters and Thursday was fixed for his meeting with lawyers. He said only four lawyers were allowed to meet him in jail.
Through the petition, he requested the court to issue a new order allowing his family members, physician and lawyers to meet him. Secretary interior, chief commissioner Islamabad and superintendent Adiala Jail have been made party.
