19 drug peddlers, bootleggers, illegal weapon holders netted

Separate cases have been registered against all accused
RAWALPINDI (APP) - Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers, bootleggers, illegal weapon holders and other lawbreakers here on Thursday arrested 19 accused besides recovering over 10 kg charras, five liters liquor, six 30 bore pistols, ammunition and other items from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that Rattaamral, Sadiqabad, Airport, Chakri, Gujar Khan, Taxila, Naseerabad and Bani police held Khurram, Jahangir, Arslan, Razaq, Khurram, Sanaullah, Shahid, and others on recovery of over 10 kg charras.
Similarly, New Town, Sadiqabad, Race Course, Saddar Wah, Kalar Syedan and City police conducted raids in their respective jurisdiction and rounded up Owais, Majid, Akram, Babar, Sajid and others and recovered five liters liquor, six 30 bore pistols, ammunition and other items from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against all accused while further investigations are underway.
City Police Officer, Rawalpindi had directed the police officers to accelerate ongoing operations against drug peddlers, bootleggers and other lawbreakers, he added.
