Police foil sugar, urea smuggling bid to Afghanistan

As many as 11 trucks of sugar and urea have been seized during the operation

SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) - The police foiled the sugar and urea smuggling bid to Afghanistan after getting information from the intelligence agencies.

According to the reports, a huge quantity of sugar and urea was being smuggled from Sindh to Afghanistan.

The police foiled the smuggling bid after conducting an operation on the National Highway.

The police said that 11 trucks of sugar and urea have been seized during the operation. It included seven trucks of sugar and four trucks of urea fertilizer.

According to police, sugar and urea were being smuggled from several cities of Sindh to Afghanistan.

The bags of sugar and urea are now being shifted to the warehouses of the food department.

The police also arrested four smugglers involved in the heinous crime.
