Six Christian pilgrims die, over 50 injured as bus falls off motorway bridge

SHEIKHUPURA: (Dunya News) – Six people were killed and more than fifty injured when a bus fell off a motorway bridge in Sheikhupura, near Khanka Dogran, according to Rescue 1122.
Rescue teams scrambled to the area to start the rescue operations. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Long lines of vehicles were witnessed on motorway following the accident.
People of nearby areas have joined the rescue operations.
However, the National Highways and Motorway police (NHMP) refuted the happening of the incident on the motorway, saying the accident actually happed on Khanqah Dogran road.
Sector Commander Faisal Akram said the Rescue 1122 fed wrong information to the media about the location of the accident.
