Soldier martyred in gun battle with terrorists in North Waziristan

Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, says ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A soldier was martyred during an exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan, on Saturday.

ISPR in a statement said troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location. “However, during intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Jamshed Khan (age 28 years, resident of District Upper Dir), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom,” it said.

Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, it added.

“Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” read statement of the military’s media wing.
