QUETTA (Dunya News) – Mir Ali Mardan Domki took oath as Caretaker Balochistan Chief Minister on Friday.

 

The ceremony was held at the Governor House where the governor administered oath to Domki.

Earlier, a parliamentary panel formed to finalise the name of the caretaker Balochistan chief minister on Friday picked Mir Ali Mardan Domki for the top slot.

The second round of the parliamentary committee constituted by Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali was held as the deadlock between the outgoing provincial government and the opposition of the dissolved Balochistan Assembly persisted over the appointment of the caretaker chief minister.

 

The first meeting of the parliamentary committee for the appointment of caretaker chief minister ended without any result on Thursday night. 

Who is Mir Ali Mardan Domki  

Mir Ali Mardan Domki is a former district nazim of Sibbi. He is the son of former senator Mir Huzoor Bakhsh Domki and the brother of former minister of state Mir Dostin Khan Domki. Domki has an undisputed tribal and political position. 

The nominated caretaker Balochistan CM belongs to Lahri area of Balochistan.
