Zardari takes notice of Mirzas meetings

President Zardari has taken notice of activities of Zulfiqar Mirza, ex-Sindh home minister.

President Asif Ali Zardari, who also carries the title of co-chairman of the PPP, has ordered the party to maintain party discipline at all levels. Zardari has gives the instructions following increasing number of meetings between Mirza and some sitting ministers and MPAs of the PPP in Sindh. The PPP seems to have diverging positions in the centre and the province.Zardari has called the ministers and MPs who met Mirza in the recent days and sought explanation. The president has also ordered the Sindh CM to take action against violators of party discipline.After the orders from the President, the Sindh CM has called ministers and MPs to the Chief Minister’s house. Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Makesh Chawla met the CM as part of such meetings.Memon gave explanation on the meetings with Mirza. While the PPP straggles to keep party discipline, party cadres in Sindh seems to be at odd with the party in the centre.
