PTI chief has right to appeal but Nawaz Sharif and Yousuf Gillani hadn't

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar Sunday declared that the PTI chief remained fortunate in the legal battle.

On his return from the Senate session, a journalist asked the Law Minister about the silence regarding the PTI Chairman's disqualification.

Are Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and other leaders not pleased?

Mr Tarar responded that it is not necessary to comment on every question.

Also, Chairman PTI has the right to appeal, unlike former premiers Nawaz Sharif and Yousaf Raza Gillani who did not have the privilege.

The PTI chief is fortunate enough that he was sentenced by the lower court.

The law minister further added that there was no appeal against the Supreme Court's decision regarding the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif and Yousaf Raza Gillani.

The disqualification of the PTI Chairman is not something to be happy or unhappy about; it is a lawful procedure.
