First digital census results announced: Pakistan is fifth populous country now

Pakistan is on fifth position with 241 million population

LAHORE (Dunay Investigation Cell) – Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has announced the final results of first digital census and Pakistan has become the world's fifth-most populous country.

India is the first most populous country with a population of 1.428 billion, China with population of 1.425 billion on second, America with 330 million people on third, Indonesia is on fourth position with 277 million population and Pakistan is on fifth position with 241 million population.

The annual population growth in Pakistan has been recorded at 2.55 percent putting Pakistan on 24 number among 195 countries.

On the contrary, if we have a look on other countries population growth, China has 0.02 percent, Britain 0.34 percent, America 0.5, Turkiya 0.56, UAE 0.80, India 0.81, Bangladesh 1.03 percent and Saudi Arab has 1.48 percent annual population growth.

According to population statistics, India ranks top in South Asia, Pakistan second and Bangladesh is on third position.

Annual population growth in South Asia, Afghanistan is on first position with 2.70 percent, Pakistan 2.55 and Nepal is on third position with 1.14 percent.
