The IHC registrar issued letter on August 4
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Humayun Dilawar – the additional session judge who sentenced the PTI chairman in the Toshakhana case – left for the United Kingdom to attend a judicial conference.
According to sources, a letter about nominating Dilawar for training has surfaced which was written by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) registrar on August 4, mentioning that IHC Chief Justice Amir Farooq had nominated the judge for participating in the event.
The letter read that the name of Dilawar should be included instead of his peer Faizan Haider – another judge – and that he would be a part of the training programme at the UK University of Hill from August 5 to 13.
“Human Rights and Rule of Law’ is the topic of the programme being funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat.
The process of including the judges from Islamabad was in progress for the last two months and some of them – both from the federal capital and Peshawar – had been replaced with others for not getting visa.
