Terrorist killed in encounter with police in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) – A terrorist, wanted in over a dozen cases related to heinous crimes, was killed in encounter with police in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Kalachi Police Station officials conducted an operation area on intelligence report about presence of terrorists in the area during which the terrorists hiding in their hideout opened fire. Police returned the fire due to which one terrorist was killed while his other accomplices managed to escape.
According to police, the dead terrorist was identified as Muhammad Ramzan and wanted by police in 14 cases related to heinous crimes.
Security forces repulse attack on checkpost in Khyber district
Earlier in the day, law enforcers repulsed an attack on a checkpost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district.
According to reports, an assailant fired shots and threw a hand grenade at the checkpost, but police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel’s response and counteraction forced the attacker to flee.
There were, fortunately, no casualties in the terror attack. This assault on law enforcement adds to the ongoing security issues in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which has been witnessing numerous militant attacks in July alone.
