KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir on Monday made it clear that the Pakistan Army was proud to have served the country and that a decision had been made to do whatever it took to get Pakistan out of the current crisis.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Khanewal Model Agriculture Farm under the Green Initiative, the COAS said that Pakistanis are a proud, passionate, and talented nation, and the army is from the people and the people from the army.
He said that all Pakistanis should throw away the "beggar's bowl" because Allah had blessed Pakistan with all the blessings.
He further said, "No power in the world can stop us from progressing, and an agricultural revolution will happen in Pakistan anyway".
The Army Chief announced the establishment of modern farms on the pattern of the Khanewal Model Agriculture Farm for the benefit of small farmers and said that the scope of the Green Initiative will be extended to the whole of Pakistan.
The COAS said that the state is like a mother, and the relationship between the people and the state is one of love and respect.
Regarding the country's economy and security, he said, "The security and economy go hand in hand, and security without economy and economy without security are impossible".
The Army Chief read the poetry of Allama Iqbal and emphasised the importance of every member of the country in the development of the nation.
