FM Bilawal calls for dialogue to end Ukraine-Russia conflict
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday denied reports that Pakistan was supplying arms to Kyiv in the midst of its current confrontation with Russia.
Addressing a joint news conference with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Kuleba insisted Pakistan and Ukraine had no arms supply agreement. He also thanked Pakistan for backing Ukraine's position on its security and sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Bhutto-Zardari said the conflict between Ukraine and Russia should be ended through dialogue.
Bhutto-Zardari said: "Pakistan and Ukraine have long-standing amicable and historical links. The opportunities exist for bilateral trade, cultural exchange, and investment between the two countries."
He added, "We want to boost collaboration across a range of industries. I praise Ukraine for supporting Pakistan in the Human Rights Council's resolution on religious freedom".
Bhutto-Zardari said: "It is important to make it simpler for Ukrainian products to reach the global market. The Russia-Ukraine conflict had a greater impact on developing countries".

- Praises MoFA -
In connection with the country's withdrawal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday commended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
Expressing his thoughts in line with the MoFA's attempts for change management reforms, Bhutto-Zardari said, "In order to combat any obstacle, we have to be prepared."
Bhutto-Zardari asserted: "The MoFA played a noteworthy role in establishing the COP27 loss and damage fund".

- Good relations with world -
On Tuesday, Bhutto-Zardari on Tuesday said the government wants to have good relations with the world.
Addressing the event organised to honour the ambassadors, Bhutto-Zardari remarked, "I have travelled to many countries as the foreign minister. We want good relations with all the neighbours of the country."
Bhutto-Zardari said: "During the COP27 climate conference, the friendly countries had promised to extend support to Pakistan. I would like to thank the friendly countries for helping Pakistan in the difficult situation".

"After the general elections, the country will experience political stability. The political stability will bring economic stability in the country," Bhutto-Zardari added.
He said: "Pakistan has successfully signed agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia had helped Pakistan in this regard".

Separately on Monday, Bhutto-Zardari paid homage homage to Shahnawaz Bhutto. He said that the country will always remember the struggle and sacrifice of Shahnawaz Bhutto for democracy, who was truly a symbol of revolutionary thinking and vision among the youth of the country.
"Being an elder sister, the grief and sorrow of the tragic separation of her younger brother always remained like an unhealed wound in the heart of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto," he added.
