PM Shehbaz felicitates AJK president on Eidul Azha

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday felicitated coalition partners and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mahmood on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

- PM Shehbaz expresses goodwill towards AJK president -

Over the phone, the AJK president received warm wishes from PM Shehbaz. Both leaders denounced the abuses of human rights in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and showed support for those living in the region that India has illegally annexed.

 The premier also praised Kashmiris for their valiant resistance against Indian state terrorism.

On the occasion of Eidul Azha, PM Shehbaz also felicitated the governors of Punjab, KP, Balochistan, and Quetta.

- PM Shehbaz contacts coalition partners -

The premier also got in touch with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khalid Hussain Magsi, and Aimal Wali Khan.

PM Shehbaz and the coalition partners exchanged views over the country’s political situation. The prime minister also informed the allies of his conversation with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.

- PM Shehbaz vows to allay MQM-P concerns -

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui exchanged views on the country’s political situation.

The premier felicitated Siddiqui on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha over the phone. According to MQM-P spokesperson, both leaders also discussed future political strategy.

The discrepancies in the electoral rolls were disclosed to the premier by Siddiqui. Siddiqui was given the assurance by PM Shehbaz that the instructions will be given to the authorities to allay MQM-P concerns.
