Pakistan, India end Track-II diplomacy

Pakistan and India have decided to end Track-II diplomacy initiated to help resolve issues.

Sources said that Track-II diplomacy has been ended after mutual agreement between the two neighbours. No meeting was held under the Track-II in the recent months.Both countries have decided to engage in direct diplomacy to take up important issues. Pakistan had named former foreign secretary Riaz Muhammad Khan to lead Track-II diplomacy. In the Musharraf era, Tariq Aziz and Niaz A Naek were performing this role.
