Lahore is in the grip of sever traffic jam on several roads, mainly The Mall and its side roads.

The traffic jam has reportedly been caused by a sit-ins and protests by various religious groups and parties, including a protest by members of the Hazara tribe.Traffic jams has also been partially contributed to by construction work for expansion of the Canal Road.There were severe traffic jams on The Mall, Canal Road, Lower Mall, Ferozepur Road and link roads of The Mall.
