Tessori rails against Imran, PTI
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said on Wednesday that the May 9 vandalism was planned.
Speaking to media, Mr Tessori berated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying, "Imran Khan and his party have betrayed the people."
Heaping praise on the army, Mr Tessori said, "The army has foiled the conspiracy attempts."
"It is important to highlight the truth behind the May 9 mayhem. The nation will never forget the attack on Jinnah House," maintained Mr Tessori.
Recalling the demand to bring the miscreants to justice, Mr Tessori said, "Today we are facing a situation of peace due to the sacrifices of the martyrs. The rioters have been trained to serve a foreign agenda."
On Tuesday, Mr Tessori urged the religious scholars to share the true message of Islam.
A delegation of religious scholars met Mr Tessori, during which the May 9 attacks were discussed. Acknowledging the role of religious scholars, Mr Tessori said, "Religious scholars have always contributed to solving the problems of the country".
Condemning extremism, religious scholars said, "The rioters must be brought to justice."
