Kundi felicitates former PTI leader over joining PPP
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Tarakai joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference flanked by Mr Tarakai, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said, "Those who are joining the PPP have been welcomed by the leadership. I welcome Usman Tarakai to the PPP."
Taking a jibe at PTI chief Imran Khan, Mr Kundi said, "Imran Khan has done nothing for the country except to deceive the people".
In connection with the May 9 mayhem, Mr Kundi said, "The events that took place on May 9 are highly reprehensible."
On Sunday, Mr Tarakai quit the PTI after the May 9 vandalism that followed the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Speaking to media, Mr Tarakai said, "We strongly condemn the terrorism committed by the party on May 9".
